Composition

active ingredient: glycerol;

1 suppository contains 1 g or 2 g of glycerol;

excipients: gelatin, purified water.

Indications

Symptomatic treatment of constipation of various etiologies (when oral medications are not possible).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to glycerol or any of the drug's ingredients. Renal insufficiency, irritable bowel syndrome, intestinal obstruction, appendicitis, bleeding, diarrhoea, acute hemorrhoids, anus fissures, inflammatory diseases, rectal tumours, undiagnosed abdominal pain, haemorrhagic rectocolitis.

Take 1 suppository once daily, 15-20 minutes after breakfast.

Routes of Administration and Dosage

The suppository should be inserted into the rectum and kept there for at least 5 minutes, unless bowel movements occur earlier. Suppository residues are excreted from the body with faeces. If necessary, the dose can be increased to 2 suppositories per day.

Single dose for adults and children over 6 years of age: 1 suppository of 2 g or 2 suppositories of 1 g.

Single dose for children aged 2 to 6 years: 1 suppository of 1 g.

Treatment of constipation should not exceed 7 days.
