Composition

One stick with a net weight of 1.5 g (g) contains:

vitamin C 80 mg (mg)

iron in the form of microencapsulated ferrous pyrophosphate in liposomal form 14 mg (mg)

folic acid 200 microgrammes (mcg)

vitamin B12 2.5 microgrammes (mcg)

Excipients: sweeteners: Xylitab® 200 (xylitol, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose), mannitol, Orange flavour, citric acid anhydrous, sweeteners: sorbitol, aspartame, sucralose, acesulfame K.

Indications

It is recommended as an additional source of iron, vitamins C, B12 and folic acid for people with anaemia and increased iron requirements: vegetarians, elderly people, during active sports.

It is not a medicinal product.

Contraindications

Individual sensitivity to certain components of the product; children under 6 years of age; patients with phenylketonuria; persons with impaired iron utilisation mechanisms (lead anaemia, sideroblastic anaemia); anaemia not associated with iron deficiency (haemolytic anaemia, megaloblastic anaemia).

Routes of Administration and Dosage

Use regardless of food intake (as Polifer® does not interact with food or medicines) in children from 6 years and adults 1 stick per day. The granules are diluted in water or sprinkled into the mouth on the tongue and slowly dissolved. It is not necessary to wash it down with liquid.

The duration of use of Polifer® is 2-3 months. If necessary, the course is extended on the recommendation of a doctor until the haemoglobin level is normalised.
